CCNA Voice

Postby Guest » Tue Aug 04, 2009 11:40 pm

Hi guys,

Im just want to clarrify this thing and hope someone can clear this up. I already earned my CCNP.

Cisco website says that the CCNA Voice exam and recommended training are 640-460 IIUC OR 642-436 CVOICE 6.0 / Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications IIUC OR Cisco Voice Over IP (CVOICE).

http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le0/le3/learning_certification_type_home.html

But when I checked out the CCVP syllabus, the prerequisites is CCNA Voice. https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/community/certifications/ccvp/syllabus?view=overview

So I could take CVOICE right away and continue with the other 4 exams for the CCVP right? or I have to take 640-460 IIUC 1st?

thanks

That is correct. Assuming your CCNP/CCNA are current, once you pass CVOICE, you will have CCNA Voice. CVOICE also counts towards CCVP, so you will have 4 more exams to pass to complete CCVP.

Hope this helps.
